I am a Showit devotee. It offers the design freedom of a blank canvas and the ease of drag and drop flexibility. Updates are a breeze, even for non-techies. And the customer service team are incredibly helpful as well. I could gush forever...but I won't ;)

What is SEO & why does it matter?

SEO is the process of setting up your website in a way that it can communicate clearly and efficiently what you do/who it’s for with search engines like Google. The keyword here is that it is a process, and results take time, but when done correctly - it can help get more eyes (from dream clients) on your website. It can be incredibly powerful - and it can do the work of a sales/marketing team (and perhaps even give you a break from the instagram hamster wheel). 

What is the typical timeline?

Once we've gathered the essentials (domain, copy, photos, etc.) for your website, a custom build takes about 4-6 weeks. With open communication, I'm happy to be flexible with deadlines. In a time crunch? Let me know early on. Need more time to refine your copy? We can adjust as needed and let your ideas bloom at their own pace.

Do you accept payment plans?

Launching a new website is an investment in your business's growth. To ensure a smooth and collaborative process, I require a 30% non-refundable deposit to begin work. Then, if needed, the remaining balance can be conveniently spread out over three months, without interest accruing.

I'm not very tech savvy, do you offer maintenance plans after launch?

Showit is super user-friendly, with an amazing library of tutorials and top-notch support. Plus, you get a personal launchpad from yours truly including:
  • Step-by-step video tutorial for updates
  • 30 days of free tech support
  • 60-day check-in on your website
No more neglected sites! And if you need help down the line, I'm just a click away for new pages, design help, or intensive training sessions.

How do I know if it's time for a redesign?

There are many signs it's time for a new website or redesign. Some of the most commons ones include:
  • you're frustrated when you try to update
  • your offerings or goals have changed
  • your website doesn't feel like you
  • you're constantly having to answer questions that your site doesn't answer
  • you're attracting less than ideal clients
  • you're ready to invest in your business 

What is copywriting?

Website copy = the words on your website. Copywriting is the service of writing those words for you. Everything from attention grabbing headlines, conversational and captivating paragraphs, and witty calls to action that inspire website visitors to inquire, sign up, or buy. Copywriting takes what you do - and tell your story about what makes it special, while organically integrating keywords to help boost your SEO. 

Is copywriting *really* worth the investment?

Copywriting is crucial for shaping your website's navigation, layout, and overall brand identity. It is also an essential part of creating a positive user experience, and guiding website visitors to take action. While SEO helps your site get discovered, and design catches attention, copy is ultimately what helps “seal the deal.”

To ensure a cohesive design that reflects your unique voice, I require the homepage copy before starting your website's design. The only exception is if I am writing the copy for you or we are doing a custom package. While I *can* just use placeholder text - this ultimately creates more work or potential additional cost.
