Follow These Simple Tips for SEO-boosting Website Copy

When it comes to boosting SEO, content is 👑KING👑

Here are a few of my go-to tips and tricks for helping clients boost their search engine optimization through their website copy.

➡️ Improve UX (user experience) – your copy should be relatable, intriguing and whenever possible – about the site visitor. What are their pain points? What do your services do for them? Why do they need them (now)? How can you empathize with your audience?

➡️ Make your content scannable. The vast majority of site visitors will be reading about 20% of your copy. Break your content into sections, utilizing subheadings and headings and when appropriate, lists. This also helps search engines understand your content better.

➡️ Make a keyword roadmap. Research what keywords you want to be targeting, and once you have a list of about 10-15, plan out where they can naturally fit into your copy (no keyword stuffing).

✨Bonus: make sure you select fonts that are engaging – but LEGIBLE. If visitors can’t easily read it – they won’t. They’ll move on to a different website. You also want to have good contrast between font text color and background color. This is important for accessibility (and aesthetic).
